Chàteau Les Carrasses

Although I'm based in the UK, its a pleasure to be asked to fly out and do destination wedding hair and makeup. I thought I would share with you a recent wedding that I did, which was at the beautiful Chateau Les Carrasses in Languedoc- Roussillon, France. The French Bride Aurore originally comes from Narbonne a town close to the Chateau. The Chateau itself is absolutely gorgeous, surrounded completely by Poppy fields. For the makeup, Aurore wanted her skin to be glowing and fresh, with the focus on her eyes and a softer lip. I applied lots of individual lashes to create the fuller fluffy lash. To compliment this look, I created a romantic tousled bun at the nape of the neck, we wanted to keep this simple to go with her Agnes Hart Tiara and to show off the neckline of her halterneck Halfpenny Dress.

Product Breakdown

Here are some of the key products I used to create the makeup on the wedding day

Charlotte Tilbury 'Wonder Glow' Face Primer

Glossier 'Haloscope' - Me and Aurore both love Instagram worthy products. Glossier Haloscope really is so so good! It's a cream highlighter which has a really dewy effect because of the oil core . Applied down the bridge of the nose, Brow bone & Above Cheekbones. I like to apply it with my fingers to blend it seamlessly into the skin.

MAC Face & Body Foundation - Skin still looks like skin with this on and that is what I love about it! Aurore's freckles had started to come out after spending the week in the sun so it was important that we didn't cover these - especially as her husband-to-be absolutely loves them too.

Milk- 'Matte Bronze' again another cream product. As the brief was natural skin, i tend to find cream blushers, bronzers and highlighters much more natural. They almost become a part of the skin rather than just sitting on top. They're also particularly good for someone who has more of a dry dehyrated skin, which Aurore does. I set this lightly with MAC Mineralise Skin Finish in shade 'Dark'.

Victoria Beckham X Estee Lauder - 'Modern Mercury' Highlighter

Charlotte Tilbury - 'Pillow Talk' Lipstick. Because we went a bit heavier on the eyes and used some indivual lashes to create a fuller lash. This lipstick is perfect for a flush of pink colour to the lips.
